Stress is a normal part of life that we negotiate for survival, and in appropriate levels can produce growth and learning. But what if stress is chronic? What if your emotional brain is limited in its ability to handle normal stressors? Anxiety becomes the result. Chronic anxiety can tax the brain and spark the trauma responses. Learn more about these central nervous system processes, what to do about anxiety or trauma, and what to do to keep yourself or to help those around you in the normal stress range.
